We are delighted to announce the new project LibreRT as part the joint efforts between the University of Salerno and Politecnico di Milano. The initiative has received funding from the prestigious PRIN project grant by the Italian Ministry of Research (MUR), marking an important milestone in advancing research and development in the field of embedded system and real time processing.

Led by Project Principal Investigator, Cosenza Biagio, coordinated by Federico Terraneo from Politecnico di Milano, and with the partecipation of Giovanni Agosta from Politecnico, LibreRT aims to revolutionize the way we program heterogeneous real-time systems for the embedded computing continuum.

“This project holds great promise for addressing critical challenges in embedded computing and paving the way for innovative solutions to support the embedded computing continuum” said Cosenza Biagio, the project’s PI.

Federico Terraneo, the coordinator for Politecnico di Milano, echoed this sentiment, stating, “Our joint efforts will contribute significantly to the evolution of real-time programming in embedded systems, fostering a new era of technological possibilities.”

The LibreRT kick-off meeting has taken place remotely on September 26th, 2023, with the partecipation of the two research teams from the University of Salerno and Politecnicoi di Milano. For more information and project updates, please visit librert.di.unisa.it .
