The LibreRT project team held a key coordination meeting at the University of Salerno, Fisciano Campus, bringing together researchers from both participating institutions to review progress and align on upcoming milestones.
The meeting was hosted by Prof. Biagio Cosenza, Principal Investigator of the project, and involved the full team from the University of Salerno. Joining from Politecnico di Milano were Dr. Federico Terraneo, co-Investigator and lead of the OS work package, and Dr. Daniele Cattaneo, contributor to the approximation and autotuning components of the project.
The team discussed updates on the SYCL programming model extensions, real-time OS developments for micro-edge platforms, and early results from the integration of approximate computing techniques.
This in-person meeting was also an opportunity to strengthen collaboration across teams, refine the implementation roadmap, and prepare for the next project milestone, which will focus on technology integration and validation of approximate computing techniques.
